The Democracy and Boundary Commission Cymru is a independent body responsible for determining allowances available to community and town councillors to carry out their duties (as well as county councillors, National Park Authorities and Fire and Rescue Authorities).
It is mandatory for councils to offer a basic allowance to all councillors to cover expenses including heating, lighting, power and broadband (for working from home), This is currently set at £156 per Councillor per year and the option of £52 a year for consumables.
