The main income of the Community Council is provided by a precept payable by the County Council. The size of the precept is set by the Community Council before the start of the new financial year. Details of procedures are contained in the Financial Regulations
The Council may access some grants for particular projects.
The Community Council has accounts with Lloyds Bank. Accounting records are held and updated by the Clerk.
Four councillors are cheque signatories as well as the Responsible Financial Officer. Three signatures are required for each cheque, one which must be the Responsible Financial Officer.
Final accounts are prepared at year end by the Responsible Financial Officer and presented to the Council for approval subject to internal audit. They are then audited by an external auditor. If you would like to see copies of the accounts for the last three financial years, click the links below.
